Our program was developed by farmers for farmers to teach you how to increase corn yields on your farm. National Corn Yield Contest winner Kevin Kalb leads the program.
Because each farm is different, the Program teaches you how to increase your yields by using your own farm's data.
The program consists of a series of interactive meetings where you will develop an understanding of the tissue samples and how to use that data. You will learn effective ways of testing what works and what doesn't and how to make continuous improvements.
Meetings will also focus on techniques for planters and other equipment; effective brands of seed, herbicide, and fertilizer for the midwest, herbicide timing; and maybe most importantly, fertilizer placement and timing.
Meetings are virtual and will be held via Zoom conference or another internet service to be announced.
Meetings are internet-based typically scheduled on Wednesdays and occur once a month during December, January, February, March and a summer meeting. The summer meeting is a field day held at Kevin's farm. There are also periodic Q&A discussions held in addition to the regularly scheduled meetings.
All meetings last from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Meetings are scheduled around planting and harvesting seasons to avoid disruption to your schedule, and as such, are not able to be scheduled until we know what the season brings. We will email you with the scheduling information as it becomes available.
The program requires a three-year commitment. Yield improvement is a gradual process that requires recursive and continuous improvements over time. The three-year commitment to the process ensures that you have time to adapt your practices to the new protocol, to hone your newly developed skills and also allows time for soil improvement to help increase the yields.
The cost of the program is $3000.00 per year, payable annually. There is a $500 discount for paying for all three years up front.
